Default Just Got Back from the Villages

This was our second trip to the Villages and again we had an amazing time.

I am definitely much more active there. I took a morning walk almost every day and swam several times during the week among other activities.

We took a drive outside the bubble and came across a community a few miles up the street. Admittedly you did get more house for the money but it just wasn't the same. In fact the realtor showing us the open house admitted her husband was at the movie theater at the Villages!

This time I also had a chance to see more of the area and was surprised to see a lot more shopping than I had previously thought and all accessible by golf cart - YAY!

Was surprised to see how much Brownwood had grown and enjoyed pizza at Riccardis. Also celebrated our anniversary at the Arnold Palmer Legacy (awesome service).

Had a really great time and enjoyed the friendliness of everyone!

Very motivated to move and join you all!

Glad you had a wonderful time. I played golf and a community a few miles up the road and felt the same way, rather be in The Villages than have more house somewhere else!!

Thanks all!

Last time we visited (October) we saw a gorgeous home for sale. It was new and fully furnished. We weren't ready to buy then but it was so lovely I assumed someone would snap it up. I was so surprised to see it was still for sale but the price tag on it had increased $100,000.

One thing we did not think about was the toll roads. I would suggest anyone visiting and renting a car to bring dollars and change. At one toll we had bills but no change. There was no one there to make change and the toll was .75 cents. So we got a paper from the machine telling us to send in a check or money order for .75 cents.

I called the car rental company who told me that EZ Pass would be sending me a bill for $16.95 regardless if I paid ticket or not. I called EZ Pass they said rental car company would be charging me an administrative fee. What a hassle for .75 cents. So each one saying something different.

Anyway I did not have my regular check book with me so I purchased a money order for .75 cents to pay the .75 cent fee and I mailed it in the supplied envelope with all the details attached so if they try to charge me more I will be able to say I paid it.

Will see what happens.

I was surprised they had put the price up so much when the house had not sold at the lower price. They did plant a few small shrubs but that hardly seems worth $100,000.

So glad that you love The Villages. We moved here 4 years ago and have loved every second of what The Villages has to offer and the opportunities to give back. Can't wait for your arrival to the Friendliest home town. Hurry home!
