Question Help unloading truck

We will be moving into a house in Fernandina and driving a rental truck. We expect to arrive sometime on Wednesday, July 2. Does anyone know where I might be able to hire someone for a few hours to help unload the truck? We hired a couple of guys to help us load it and paid them $25 an hour each. Plan to pay the same to unload. Can be reached at amfunny@yahoo.com

The Village Movers will unload, not sure about such late notice though. They were very professional and quick when we hired them.

I think Village Movers has a minimum rate. They quoted me $195 for 2 men, 2 hours. Each additional hour was $90 or 95. You can also check with the place you rented the truck and see if they have referrals to loading / unloading assistance. Most truck rental places do. I know UHaul does. PODs gave me a contact also but I'll have to see if I saved it. I ended up taking up the landscape guys on their offer to help. They said they needed the money and I needed the help so it was a good exchange! And I was down to a few heavy items I couldn't do on my own. Then I found a great guy here on TOTV that came over and put everything back together for me. I disassembled everything to make it fit into a 7x7ft cube. In less than 3 hours he had all of it put back together - would have taken me 3 days and some naughty language! PM me if you want his name and number. He also offered to help unload so may be willing to help you with that.
