Can anyone recommend someone to install a Hide-a-screen for our front door? Also where do they sell them?

Perry's in Spanish Springs next to Publix. They usually have an ad in the newspaper.

This is a link who did ours. Very nice to deal with and installation was done professionally and quickly.

When we lived in Colorado we ordered ours through Lowes and then they have the contractor for the screen company install it. Plus, these were for French doors on our patio. They were awesome and I will have them again next year when we move down.

We have one and if I had it to do over I would have gone with a storm door with glass and a screen. When the breeze is even relatively mild it blows the screen out of the track at the top and bottom. A storm door is the better solution.

We had our front door screen installed by Michele's and we love it.
It never comes out of the track and we have a great breeze through the house. |

We also used Michele's Hideaway Screen. Very professional, courteous and on time. Would use her again in a minute. Love to open front door for cross ventilation on nice days. They are set up at the Market at Marion if you would like to see the product.

The Home Depot @ Lady Lake sells and installs them. I am happy with it.

I'm not familiar with the "Hide-A-Screen as a brand name,
but if it's simply a retractable screen, the Phantom brand is an excellent one and has a lifetime guarantee.. There is one caveat, however. If you have a pet, particularly a small dog or cat, they can crawl under it and get out. Also, when they do that, usually the magnets do not hold and the screen slams open. If a large dog pushes against the screening, it will probably pop open from the pressure against the screen. If any of the above rings true, you will need a real screen door of one sort or another.

Ours was the Phantom brand. I can see where a dog could push it out from the bottom though. I guess our chocolate lab never figured that out. Sometimes she would touch it with her nose but then back up and wait for us to open it!

We just made an appt with Michelles Hide Away Screens. She will be in TV April 8 and 9th to give estimates. Several of our neighbors have ordered their screens with her and no complaints at all.
