Default Himiway electric bikes in the Villages.

I saw two of these electric bikes in front of us when coming in one of the gates. They were strapped to the back of a large pick-up.

Just wondering if some Talk of the Villages use them? And for what? They do seem to do most of the pedaling for you.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 5-10 years, you would be familiar with the e-bike explosion. E-bikes allow people to enjoy longer rides with less fatigue and they especially benefit older people who are not as robust as they once were; but I'm as good once as I ever was...sorry, couldn't help myself. E-bikes are NOT about speed or laziness. You will see as many e-bikes on our paths as human powered bikes (if not more).

I have a Ride1Up Ebike… it has been my tool to lose 30 pounds…most of my rides consist of peddling with a minimal assist from the battery…I am a bicycle lover but not affiliated with any of the Bicycle Road Racers….

Not a Golf Path! And it starts ….. The Villages Share the Path "Who is allowed to use the multi-modal paths throughout The Villages?” This is a question that the District receives on a regular basis. The multi-modal paths are for use by NON-AUTOMOTIVE traffic such as bicycles, golf carts, pedestrians, and skaters. It is not legal…nor is it smart…to drive vehicles such as smart cars, motorcycles, or mopeds on any of the multi-modal paths in The Villages.

I see them regularly on my morning walks. Most of the time the pedals are not moving
Also there is a guy who brings it to the pool and parks it inside the pool area … he says that he does that so it won’t get stolen.

You couldn't pay me enough to ride a bike inside the Villages, electric or manual, too many distracted drivers, I wouldn't feel safe.
