The historic area is comprised of the villages of Country Club Hills, Silver Lake, and Orange Blossom. The power lines are underground.

I like it here. Easy golf cart access (2 miles or less) to multiple grocery stores, department stores, hardware stores and medical facilities.
Three championship golf courses nearby.
A very good area to grow old in, as my desire and ability to drive a car wanes.
There are two new homes being built within a half mile from my house.

So the cookie cutter style elsewhere is more attractive. Have you even driven though the Historic side. I guess you don't like mature trees and landscapes, and next year a new regional recreation center. Oh and not to mention close to medical facilities, shopping at multiple grocery stores, department stores, big box, an oh and access to multiple gas station. And then there's The Sharon, Spanish Springs Square, (which is getting many new updates).
