I'd be interested.

That said, there is a Facebook club (Florida Trail Stompers) that has some Villages members. The club is very active with various rides and clinics, some near the Villages, some not. Great folks.

I think it'd be cool to connect with other Villagers into off-roading (as well as off road dirt biking).

I agree, sounds cool. Depending on vehicle, I would be up to buy whatever to get involved again, be it truck to mc or 4 wheelers. I miss the mud.

But I am surprised that the usuals are not already on here complaining that you can't be on the multi-modal paths or driving in the protected areas.

So to stop that now. Off road means actually off road in rough country. Just like my ultralight craft, I don't taxi and land on Morse, I use the airport or shipping container company for flights. I scuba dive in the lakes, but not swamp lakes, actual lakes for scuba diving....clear view water.

Can I bring my truck?

Log into Facebook

This is my son’s truck, we have been mud trucking for years going to parks in Perry FL. and Okeechobee area. Whole lot of fun for a weekend.

It will be interesting if you can find a piece of land to do this and a landowner willing to let you do this with all of the liability associated. I recall a news article from 1 or 2 years ago where a "track" was forced to shut down due to noise and other factors. I hope you find a suitable location. You may be able to do an online search for a suitable location.

We have a small group of guys that ride off road motorcycles every week. Some are villagers and some are not. All retired though. lol

We have a blast. We're not an official club, just a group of guys that dig riding dirtbikes.

You can PM me if you're interested in hitting the trails with us.

Plenty of trails in Citrus WMA (Near Inverness) and lots out in Ocala NF. Ride my dual sport out at each of these frequently (particularly Citrus).
Have Jeeped out at each several times.
Recently traded the Jeep on a Ranger Raptor and have only taken it out to Ocala NF. Expect significant pin striping in Ocala, should you choose the more challenging (although few are really challenging) trails. LOTS of sand, some quite deep and mudholes during the rainy season.

We don't wheel on someone's land. There are thousands of trails in the WMAs.

I would also be interested - as would another family member who will be a villager soon. Both KTM riders from the northeast, eager to explore what Florida has to offer!!

LOL - Love it! The Villages has a club for most everything, a dual sport riders club would be a great addition!
