Call 352-245-2423 and ask for Tammy. If home built 2002 or newer she can write and sinkhole is available with deductible as low as $500.00. If built prior to 2002 and roof was replaced within last 15 years she can help also.

Mine through Villages Insurance, through Travelers w/unnecessary 10% deductible sinkhole coverage, minimum deductibles and hightest liability coverage just went from $760 to $850. I called 3 other "major company agents" agents including Allstate & State Farm and they all quoted me over $1200 for A LOT LESS coverage. Of course it all depends on size of home and dozens of other factors. Basically I had a ~12% increase. It's a 2/2.

That seems excessive, but maybe it isn't. It seems excessive because the insurance on my much larger/nicer home up north is less money for the same coverage. Do any of you have a recommendation for a good insurance company for The Villages? Thanks.

I tried that with Geico, they said they don't write insurance for homes anymore in Florida.
