Some maybe, but not all. Don’t overlook the fact that on many (if not all) of the roof replacements north of 466 could be due to age of the roof. Mine was 20 years old when I replaced mine this year. It was worn. Some due to storm but mostly just due to normal wear and tear and age. My insurance company gave me well under $1,000 check for damage. I had to pay the rest. No defective materials involved.

State Farm- same cost as Coastal. Less deductible. We canceled after one month. Used Rachel Storey at agency near Fenny.

We just received a notice of nonrenewal from Tower Hill Insurance. Reason given was reduction of hurricane exposure. Our agent said Tower Hill is dropping 15,000 customers in Florida. We've had no claims for the last 40 years.

Yep, go shop around. I recommend getting quote from AAA.

Very few in old areas if any. You don’t get new roof after 15 or 20 years from defect.

Default Usaa Insurance

I called USAA for an insurance quote after I was cancelled and first of all they wouldn’t even write me a policy for my house at any price and the auto quotes were hundreds of dollars more than I was paying.

As far as my memory will allow, USAA stopped writing homeowners' policies back in 2007...that's when I moved from Hawaii to Hobe Sound FL and after I had had USAA insurances on everything for 20 yrs plus. Reason: too expensive for Hurricane claims paid out.
