This person recently had a GARAGE SALE..................about 3 weeks ago.....for 2 days.

So who knows if the incident at her home stemmed from that..also..she DID sustain a head injury from a golf cart accident beginning of the year.

Lets keep her in our prayers and hope it all turns out for the best.

The Daily Sun has always put notices of "Public Safety" in the local and state section of the paper. They never publish names in situations like this and have a very subdued and conservative journalistic attitude.

The person who was managing editor of The Daily Sun for many years now publishes the online news.

As you can see, her journalistic approach is now different. Some complain about both.

I am glad we have a choice, PLUS we have this very active rumor mill on TOTV.

The Daily Sun was once owned by the developer but the business was sold several years ago. The developer still owns the building and the equipment, and I suppose that he was able to sell it to someone who had similar conservative views, which are the majority views in this town.

I don't think it was "hidden". It was posted in the Public Saftey Report where such news is always posted in The Daily Sun. What would the front page article say? A home invasion may or may not have occurred in Duval. The victim was confused and taken to the hospital on unrelated reasons. There need to be facts before a story is printed. I am not second guessing what happened. I don't think it is clear to the police just what actually happened. Hopefully after a full investigation we will know.

Front page vs somewhere in our paper situation.....my take ....7 lightening strikes in TV certainly should be noteworthy enough to be on the front page... Gossip is like the snowball rolling downhill
If information about any " happening" is negative you could have a winning bet that it will not make front page or will rate only a few lines.

There is NO really good, falling down wonderful, yummo, jumping up and down, salivating, drooling, eating until you are stuffed, perfect pizza in The Villages. I am very sad to say this.

And I have shellfish allergy and can't eat paella, so I don't know, But Shirleevee does, because she is a good cook and Italian.

I haven't met any that would do anything like that here. I don't go to political meetings either. I imagine they get people all riled up...on BOTH SIDES..

It is not necessary to put down the developer because he is a member of the other party. He IS in business to make money and his business built this lovely place. It was all done with free enterprise and his risking his money time and time again. Not all things you hear are valid. There is much gossip and hearsay. You need to research both sides.

And...as our parents told us. It is wise NOT to publicly discuss religion or politics, it makes for unhappiness and bitter feelings. If I could just remember that.

If a person's car has been keyed, how does anybody know it's because of their favoring a certain party? How does one know that the perpetrator did it because of partisan reasons?!?!?

And if somebody got dog dung thrown in their golf cart, how does anybody know the motive wasn't something else, i.e. cart owner had been seen repeatedly leaving their dog dung by the postal station or on somebody's lawn, and it was sending a message about that?

(Not defending either action for sending a message. Just wonder how state of mind and motives are known and proven!)
