In Osceola Hills where we live, there are some great lots with premiums less than $5000.

They are small lots that back up to large lots. Some people, like our neighbor, had the intelligence to look at a map and figure out which future residents on the larger lots would not build a house with anything super-close to the smaller lot.

It worked. They have a nice house that borders a large lot, and they have a nice view that is maintained by their neighbors on the larger, and much more expensive, lot.

All homes are spec built now north of SR44 because of demand.

I had a Village Salesperson tell me recently (with a poker face) that there are many Villagers that move every time the house inside or outside needs painted. True story.

The listed price is a 'premium' over and above that. So, internal, small lots have a small premium, and large, golf course view lots have a big premium.
Great post and the true picture.

If new people are looking for extremely large lots they are available in the premier village of Harmeswood which is near Glenview off of Buena Vista, north of 466, entrance on right hand side going North.

I think most of The Villagers are happy where they are living now.

We have had four homes sell in our small Village of 53 homes, in the last month. Two moved within this very small village and one to Fenny and the other to another place in The Villages.. How about that for happy? We are close to everything and nice folks live here.

I guess most Villagers could say the same.

Yeah, that is true in our area, but I thought there might be some great lots in Feeney for less than $5000 like there were in Osceola Hills last year.

I looked at the map but did not see any. Too bad.

What is the time allowed to build? Any particular restrictions?

We have only lived in 4 houses in our almost 36 years of marriage.

We hate moving. 😉

when we built it was at the choice of the builder. So if you buy a lot in an area that the builder currently has under construction he wont't let you delay it. If you buy a lot in an area that the builder is not ready to spec out the rest of the homes on your street you will have some time.
