Default Home Sale Question

We have completed updating and staging our home. We did pack a number of boxes in preparation to sell our house. The boxes are in the garage, Do we nbeed to rent a storage place or is it okay for the boxes to be in the garage?
House goes on the market next week! YIKES

Yes, and she said the boxes are okay because buyers know you are moving. I think it looks messy, maybe I'm getting over anxious!

From someone who stages homes, I would think the only consideration is dependent upon whether you have an oversized garage where you would want that to be a selling point. If they are stacked neatly, I wouldn't worry about it. If the house is looking neat and all knick knacks are put away, you should be fine.

Cleared away almost everything. I do have items in the break front and wall units. Would you empty them?

I would leave just a couple well chosen pieces and put the rest away. If there are books, stagger them so they are pleasing to the eye versus a long line. Do not fill the entire shelf. And feel fee to leave a shelf empty. No one said every shelf has to be filled. It sounds like you have thought a lot about the look. Good luck on your home sale.

Yes we have boxes stored in our first garage which are neatly arranged. We have a two car garage. The rest of our boxes are up in our attic. The big stuff is gone out of the house. We gave it all to family. We were told to take out wall units as they take up too much room. Some of the wall units are sitting in our garage. Husband wants to use them when we move into our new house as storage units as they will not fit in the new house. The house has to be practically empty to stage it. Our house goes up for sale March 5. Excited and nervous all at the same time.

Default Staging

Our house will go up for sale next week. Getting it ready has been a roller coaster ride. A couple of small things to do and hopefully it will move. We are pricing it fairly low. We want to sell. A house 2 doors up from us sold in a few weeks in October.
