A Glock is quite persuasive.

Default Best Video Monitoring System

We use Blink on our Patio Villa. We’re Snowbirds and Blink is cost effective and reliable for video monitoring.
We do not have a alarmed security system. The Villages is safer than our rural home where we do have alarmed security plus Blink & Ring.

Most of our friends/neighbors and family do not have a home security "system".......many have cameras, doorbell camera and apps on their phones, etc.

There are even those who have the signs and window stickers with nothing else.

Evaluating my current "system" and curious about other points of view.

Sure there is a good reason to have one.

We have one because one of the questions the home owners insurance company asks is, "Do you have a monitored fire alarm?". I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes but it does make some difference in the yearly amount. And, while we don't feel the need for a burglar alarm, might as well have that too since we are already paying for the fire alarm.

Just put up a couple signs. Front door- “There’s Nothing Here Worth Your Life”. Lanai- “Trespassers Found Here At Night Will Never Be Found Again”.
