Smile Moving to the Villages in September

Well, we finally did it. We picked out a lot and will be building in Buttonwood with closing in September. We have a condo in Palm Coast, Florida and have been snowbirds for the past five years. We returned to our PA home in March and put our home on the market. Twenty seven days later, we accepted a purchase price at the price we wanted. We left PA the end of June and within a week, we were at The Villages looking at lots in Buttonwood and decided on an At Ease. We have been lucky to take advantage of the 50% off lots and 3% off the total price. It was definitely meant for us to sell our home this year and get a great deal in The Villages. We are very happy and can't wait to get there in September. Wow! What a whirlwind experience. With the help of a very nice and competent agent, Sandy Aiken, we will have a very pretty home. They are allowing a few designer options in the At Ease which we have. Thanks everyone for all of your help to get us to this point!! See you in September.

Congratulations! Sounds like fate had The Villages in mind for you. We felt it did for us, also. Things just worked out....

Again, congratulations and welcome home.

Welcome. Sandy is also our agent.

50% off lot price??? That must have been for a few select lots I assume? I don't believe there was a general 'sale' on lots to my knowledge.

If I were you I'd go out and buy a lottery ticket right away. With the kind of luck you're having you got a good chance. Congradulations on selling a home so quickly. I too am in Buttonwood in an At Ease. If I may suggest, when you are chosing options for your At Ease, get the upgraded lighting option. We bought the At Ease already built with lots of upgrades, but not the lighting and we had to replace many overhead lights, expecially in the kitchen so to have better lighting. I have several neighbors that did the same thing. Again congradulations on everything. You'll love your new home, neighborhood, and lifestyle.

Russ,

We got a VMail telling us about close outs they were offering in July. We called Sandy and when we met her, she showed us numerous lots in Buttonwood that had a 50% reduction combined with a 3% discount on the total price of home provided we signed and started construction prior to July 31. That is how we did it. The first thing Sandy recommended was getting the enhanced lighting. The At Ease has a new front elevation giving it a front porch which we love. We are also getting a 30 X 9 lanai and inside we are getting ceramic tile laid diagonally in the wet areas.

We too are from PA and will be closing on our At Ease home in Buttonwood in September. I was unaware of a new elevation for the At Ease Model, with a front porch....is it anywhere on their web site? I know that there are 2 different models, one with an open kitchen, which is the onne we chose. We did a few upgrades..the enhanced lighting being one of them. We will be snowbirds for a few years, so I didn't want to go crazy with upgrades.

You really should buy a lottery ticket! When we signed for our At Ease on April 30, your upgrades were not available. We had to add a birdcage since the large lanai was not available, and we got the open floor plan, blinds, upgraded lights, garage door windows fans and upgraded cabinets. When we came down for the closing we saw the At Ease with the porch and semi hip roof and loved it. We still love everything about our home but would have loved to have that porch. Run, don't walk, to buy that lottery ticket!!! We'll be down the end of October for a week or 2, so stop by 1928 harding path and we'll compare notes! Enjoy your new home!!!!

YodaMom,

Wow! It all sounds terrific. The fact that you were able to sell your home so quickly, which in turn enabled you to take advantage of some closeouts in Buttonwood, is awesome! I am so excited for you!

Don't think I'd test my luck with a lottery ticket though. I think I'd just count my blessings!

Ya done good.

Yoda - Perhaps you could provide the link to that Vmail? I know it comes either e-mail or web.

Thanks,

Jaspal,

Check with your agent about it. I don't know exactly when they started the promotion.
