I have had my house on the market for two years now and have yet to see that one person who is serious about buying my home in New Jersey. The only upside is that I did not wait to sell and am presently living in Bonnybrook. When the house sells, it sells.

We had house on market for only a few months and got one offer that was $40,000 below asking price. It was one of our neighbor's son and his offer was based on what he could afford. I would have loved for him to have the house, but not at that price. We took it off market and then got another offer for full asking price, all cash. We were very reluctant to believe that. Who makes a full price offer in this market? It wound up being a bogus offer--they kept saying they were bringing in the earnest money. After third no show I signed a termination of agreement and turned the house over to a property manager who got us a stellar renter at an excellent price. Property tax in NM is very low so we are doing fine with the rent. And we feel like you...when it sells it sells. We do want to sell it by the end of year 3 so we won't have to pay capital gains. And since we will have made a nice sum in rent money, we can lower the price of the house and come out pretty well. We hope!

I am glad you also decided to come here regardless of house sale.
