Default How about a lost&found forum?

Is it possible to put a lost & found forum on TOV? IMHO that would be a GREAT addition to this app.

Default A different view!

At the surface this might seem like a good idea, but let's stop and think about it:
  1. How much of a need is there? I've been monotoring TOTV since December and I've seen very few post that could be appropriately classified in a lost and found forum... except for a small hand full of of pet lost or founds, and the pet forums are more than appropriate to handle that.
  2. With approximately 68 forums and sub-forums do we really nead to add yet another forum to the list. Aren't there are already enough little used catagories on that list!
Now don't get me wrong; I'm not advocating the removal of any existing catagory nor am I questioning the quality of the suggestion, but do wonder about the need or practicality of it.

A very good suggestion. Although it may not get much activity, it would serve as an important tool for anyone who has lost or found an item.

I think people who think there would be not much activity might be surprised. I am only one person and have found golf clubs, head covers, jewelry, etc. in my six years here. All you need to do is go over to Palmer and see the Lost & Found pile of stuff. One place to look is better than 2 or 3 or even more places to look. Of course, I have tried to reunite people with their stuff that I find and sometimes succeed and sometimes do not. It seems a no brainer to me but...

Very good post. You not only expressed an opinion, but you backed it up with good reasoning. Thank you!
BTW, in your list of items you found you forgot to mention the hand held dog detector that Fumar lost! The Villages Florida

Good idea and might even add a few new contributors to the form. I look at the new posts each day so i would see it if something was posted and if nothing new I wouldn't even see it.
