Actually if it is a flat screen or not too old of equipment I have given mine away on here pretty quickly. People like to tinker.

If you can't give it away. Try calling this number 352-748-0109

depending on where you live they pick up large items for disposal for free. It is part of the waste management.

We just got rid of a 42 inch LCD. There was no fee using the sanitation department, we live in Mallory in Sumter.

I do not know the number as my wife arranged it. I am sure someone knows it here or I will ask when she gets back.

They arrange to have a separate truck come by to get the TV. It is not the folks that pickup garbage or recycle.

They told us to leave it on the recycle side of the driveway. Along comes the 'garbage' folks, sees the TV, walks across the driveway, 2 of them pick it up and throw into into the garbage truck to be compacted... it was too late by the time I got out there.

Slight lack of training somewhere?

I live on a golf cart through way. Anything, and I do mean anything, that I want to get rid of I put at the end of my driveway and in a matter of hours it will be gone.
