Default Loving at Publix and others this week...

Thought I'd start a tread about what we have bought this week and found it to be good enough to pass along. I'll start....
Bought yellow pear at Publix...my husband said, best pear he's had in years!
I also have to say, bought oranges from Publix...not great.
How about you?
As the weeks go on, we can put things we buy from the farmers market, vendors on the street, converted SweetBays....

Default Loving at Publix?

OH. I thought you saw some folks loving at Publix.

The titles of threads these days are very interesting. But NOW that I know what you mean.

I like the check out people at Publix. They always seem to be smiling and positive and heaven knows what they have to put up with.

I LOVE, love, love, LOVE to grocery shop.Publix is my fave, but yesterday I got a lot of meat and fish at Sam's. AND I recently discovered Aldi's. Looking so forward someday to shopping at a Trader Joes. I have written down all of CFrance's suggestions of what she likes there.

It makes me happy to shop for food and always has. It is kinda my thing at my house I do. Shop and cook and my housemates are usually pleased.

Gracie, you should come shop at the Colony Publix. If it were in water, you could swim in a school just swirling around the bakery waiting to grab your favorite loaf. (tongue in cheek...way in)

I bought a big jar of mango salsa at Sam's, and a bag of wild caught frozen mahi mahi filets. Hubs wants to go back for three or four more jars of salsa because sometimes Sam's has some great things that are hit-and-run items.

The mango salsa has cilantro in it. The mahi (thawed) bakes in 17 minutes at 350, longer if frozen.

Oh, and they had a great deal on 5-quart, 475 watt Kitchenaid mixers. I finally caved, after holding out for 45 years.

I thought it was some kind of clearance of items left over from St. Valentines Day.

Funny that's exactly what I thought. I was expecting to read a elderly couple were making out in the popcorn isle.

Be careful about how much mahi you consume.

It is one of the varieties of fish that contains mercury.

Au Contraire. I went to Publix yesterday (Sunday) in the middle of the day and it was empty
