If it was my mother's house, she'd say "Don't worry, I'll just sit here in the dark"...

We recently decided to change out the high light fixtures in our closets with LED light fixtures. No bulbs to change and last for 10 years. The unit gets replaced when it finally fails. The light quality is excellent, and now there is no issue of one of us on a ladder! Not a solution for everyone, but it works for us. Bought the very inexpensive fixtures at Lowe’s and Lenhart Electric installed at a reasonable price while doing another small electrical job for us. But a handyman-type could do that too.

Just do a search for handyman and same for a mover.

Bulbs

First the old joke is the higher six polish guys sorry I had to say that. Actually you should consider LED bulbs if your light fixtures are not on dimmer switches. Please also consider the whiteness rating. As many have said go to Ace true value home Depot or Lowe's for the light changer on a pole it's cheap enough and much safer than a ladder. Tisdale it's high marks for being fair and reasonable and showing up on time. There are several other local movers some more expensive than others whatever you do get a price first.

Is there a service for that ?

Also is there a service to help move large items purchased at Estate sales ( I don't own a minivan or pickup

thanks

If you need one of those long poles with a suction cup, you can have mine. My current home doesn’t require me to use it. PM me if you want it.

Hire someone to do it and be sure to replace all of the lights with LED’s that will last at least ten years.

Make friends with the tallest guy (sexist) in the neighborhood, then invite him over for a drink, then ask him to change the bulb. (before he has his drink)....Oh, and make sure you have new bulbs.

pgettinger01 06-08-2021 07:25 AM

They sell a pole that comes with different attachments for regular bulbs, spots... This only works for bulbs and fixtures where the light bulb faces down and NOT up.

A handyman can change the light bulbs. You may want them to do some other items needing attention in the home.

Hackercraft 06-08-2021 08:20 AM

If you hire it done change all bulbs.

Basically the title says it all. All the bulbs are 12 years old so while you have the professional in your house have all the bulbs replaced with the newest ones out there and you won’t have this problem again

Dons999, this is a problem, do we really want pay someone to change a bulb for us. They’ll probably want more to change a bulb than what bulb cost. You know hardwares (Home Depot & Lowe’s) make instruments that’s on extension poles that have grippers or suction cups on the end of the pole to take out & put in bulbs! But don’t pay someone to rob us for putting in a $.50 bulb.
