At the store, I give them the item to be returned and hand them my phone with the barcode Amazon emailed me so they can scan it, and they take care of the rest. Easy peasy.

Same here… that UPS store now has return kiosks where you bypass the line and no box or packaging required. Last time there a UPS agent was assisting with the returns. Also, there is now a UPS authorized shipping store across county road 101 in the Palm Ridge Plaza (golf cart accessible) across from New Covenant United Methodist Church. Yesterday, UPS store at Spanish plains had a line out the door, went to this store, 1 person in line. Owner was working one of the 2 registers.

No offense to the posts you've seen, but they're not all accurate.

Different items from Amazon, get different return processes.

You have to go to your account, select the item & click the "return" button. Follow the instructions exactly. If it gives you the option to see more choices and you don't like the ones you see, click the 'more options" box.

Some items can be returned with a QR Code to Staples or Kohls, with no packaging ... some can't.

Some items have to be returned via UPS ... some will require packaging or a fee for pickup.

In some situations, you can only return to a UPS Store (if you want to do it free), other can be dropped off at any store that accepts UPS parcels.

It will depend on the item, the size and the reason you select for your "return".

If the item was not shipped by Amazon, another whole process applies.

It's not complicated, but you have to pay attention to the process and make sure you're getting the "best deal" and that you select the best reason for wanting to return the item.

To the OP.

The information you're getting in most cases, is inaccurate and uninformed. Every item is different, there are different standards for different "return reasons" and no single "shipper" can handle any and all returns (unless you want to pay for the return, packaging and shipping).

It also depends on if you have Amazon Prime and & how good of a customer you are.

Here are the basics, direct from Amazon.

There is NO Whole Foods in The Villages. That store is The Fresh Market.

I bought something at Kohl's once, and I got so many coupons emailed to me for weeks and weeks that I had to tell them to stop sending them.

So instead of pursuing an answer via Google, or Amazon, I guess it's easier to put the burden on other people to give you an answer. But it's also amazing that so many people are willing to do it. Ten years ago TOTV had a lot more relevant answers to relevant questions. Now it has devolved into asking people what their favorite cookie is. I guess I may be a grumpy old man, but I'm still right. :rant-rave:

You can take it to Kohl’s in 441 or the UPS store in Pinellas Plaza.

I find the easiest way to return an Amazon item is at Staples. In and out in a few minutes. Just make sure you select Staples when you are online.,

No there’s not.

Amazon Returns

Just go tot he UPS store by Winn Dixie on $^^A They have the self service you describe. Super simple, Although some Villagers are stubborn and insist on standing in line to have it done the self service is quick and easy

Safe Ship accepts Amazon returns

Others have all given sound advice. Safe Ship locations also accept Amazon returns for free if pre packed and not QR coded...bar code only. If your package will fit, there are UPS drop boxes around The Villages. I use the one in Brownwood often.

Kohls is often a long line but they give you 10 to 15% off some items from their store.
My fave has been Staples. Quick process and they also give out coupons for their store.

I never print a label for ups. Just hand them item to return with a barcode from my phone.
