If you live in the Villages, you go online, look up what you are returning, they will give you a choice of where you want to return, UPS or Kohls.

Or other locations, like Staples, and others.

Not Whole Foods! Its fresh market

Get the return information from Amazon and go to the UPS store. The one on Warm Springs is the least busy.

It's amazing so many are willing to post wrong, misleading or incomplete answers.

Of course, it's 42 degrees here and what else do we have to do?

UPS store or Staples

It depends on the item, and some items do. Keep all the packaging until you are sure you are keeping it. I just needed the shipping box plus the box a small item was in this week- seems to happen with some international small companies. Not all are handled the same.

I'm confused. I always use the UPS store in Pinellas Plaza and I almost never need to print a label. Usually, I don't even need to wrap the item. I just show them my phone and they scan it and give me a receipt. I get my refund from Amazon before they even receive the item.

Interesting. Maybe it's different at the UPS on 441.

Just go Amazon online Select return and highlight your item. You get a code. Save it. Do not have to wrap it. Take to the UPS store with your code on your phone. They scan it and you’re done. You will get your refund very quickly.
There’s no Whole Foods store in The Villages that store you were referring to is the fresh market not the same.

Returns are simple. go to orders on your phone or computer, select return. It will walk you through the process. Take a picture of the QR Code which looks like a bar code that is square. I choose to return to the UPS store. They will scan the QR code off your phone. They will also box your return and print the return label along with your receipe.

Are you referring to a "UPS store" or a UPS shipping facility or another company that accepts UPS packages? UPS stores are franchised businesses that have arrangements to accept UPS packages as well as other shipping company packages. As far as I know, franchised UPS stores do not require a shipping label for Amazon returns.

BrianL99 is most accurate, it depends in several things, i.e., reason for return, if Amzn or seller shipped it…etc…regardless Amazon still has the best in dealing with returns…and even customer service.

Definitely start with Amazons app and see how they want you to proceed.
In the past I’ve ALWAYS popped in at Kohls or UPS for returns.
This holiday season I had 4 returns…and Amazon wanted 4 different return options.
1. The clothes I could return to Kohls.
2.Item Could only be returned via UPS.
3. A phone case from my son was purchased on Amazon but Shipped by a small business. I called the business, they said to return it to Amazon. Amazon said it had to be mailed at my expense back to the original small business. That’s what I did…..I don’t know how that one will resolve.
4. Vitamins. Amazon didn’t want me to ship them back. They said just to keep them and they credited my account.

So the correct answer is to start the return on your phone, and how Amazon wants you to proceed.

Thank you. I placed 147 Orders last year, for about 500 items, so I have some experience with the process.

Folks on here, seem to think their anecdotal experience, from the day they returned the candlesticks they ordered in the wrong size, is the way it always works. It doesn't.

No offense to the posts you've seen, but they're not all accurate.

Different items from Amazon, get different return processes.

You have to go to your account, select the item & click the "return" button. Follow the instructions exactly. If it gives you the option to see more choices and you don't like the ones you see, click the 'more options" box.

Some items can be returned with a QR Code to Staples or Kohls, with no packaging ... some can't.

Some items have to be returned via UPS ... some will require packaging or a fee for pickup.

In some situations, you can only return to a UPS Store (if you want to do it free), other can be dropped off at any store that accepts UPS parcels.

It will depend on the item, the size and the reason you select for your "return".

If the item was not shipped by Amazon, another whole process applies.

It's not complicated, but you have to pay attention to the process and make sure you're getting the "best deal" and that you select the best reason for wanting to return the item.

Yes, this is the best explanation. Simply follow the return instructions and choose which return option you prefer from the ones offered.
