Default Cart battery

Will I have any problem with my cart battery running low if I travel from Duval to the Walmart on 466 and back?

Not if your batteries are OK. I live in the village of Poinciana and take my Club Car over the golf cart bridge to Lowe's on 441/27, and then to the new Wal-Mart on 466 and back home. Still have good charge left. Have gone as far as 37 miles on one charge, but that was pushing my luck a bit. Get in your golf cart and GO! If you have trouble someone will stop and help you-----remember, you now live in The Villages.

Yes, very possible someone may tow you home, or take you home. There are any number of golf cart business that offer plans for 24 hour assistance. Ask neighbors & people who've lived in TV for a couple of years for names.

Bottom line: make sure your batteries are good, and fully charged, then get in your golf cart and go have fun.

As a JUST IN CASE, be sure to read the manual on your cart and see if there is anything special you need to do to be towed. My old Club Car had a switch under the seat that you had to switch to TOW for towing - or you would burn out the electric motor. My new EZGO has the same switch.

Also, some people carry a tow rope in their cart as another just in case. You can get one at Wal-Mart for $15-20.

BUC,

Depends on how much you have used them...if you just did a couple of quick local trips (i.e. less than 5 miles), they'll recharge within a couple of hours. If you've done the max...say 30+ miles, could take all night (i.e. 6-8 hrs).

The good news is, even with heavy cart use, it can't be adding any more than $10 to your monthly electric bill.

The newer the batteries the faster the charge. When my batteries were 3-4 years old, the charge time was quite long (3-4 hours). When I replaced the batteries, I was amazed at how quick the charge was (less than 1 hour). This was assuming my normal cart usage (3-5 hours of stop and go continuous usage).
