Seems like the majority of carts bring sold in the new areas are 4 passenger.

Six seat carts about the size of a min-van are not uncommon, sometimes with two additional rear facing seats.

And many are capable of 25+ mph.

But there are also plenty of two-seaters with only one person in the cart

Do you remember the McLaren F1? It had three seats - a central one for the driver with two passenger seats behind. Now there was a novel layout! I might have to re-jig my non-golf-cart.

Those long carts are dangerous on MMP sharp blind corners, a crash waiting to happen?

Just some of that Northeastern $$$$$$$$ infiltrating TV.

Seems to fit the overall definition of recreational purposes quite well.
You need to read the law again ... "manufactured for operation on a golf course". There's no "shopping". There's no "going to the square for entertainment or playing pickleball" or anything like that. It has to be manufactured for use on a golf course.

So, what, it is called evolution. Just like you were "manufactured" to live in a tree or a cave, nothing says you can't evolve and live in the Garden of The Villages.

In fact, some features of the Golf Cart are evident in the moon rovers. Of course they eliminated the need for turn signals, horns and brake lights because of the lower traffic volume. They didn't need to deal with shopping, entertainment or pickle ball, but that option might change as they develop their first town square.

How can anyone possibly argue, this vehicle is "manufactured ... for sporting or recreational purposes"?
Let's see. It was parked near the entrance to the golf shop at a golf course, according to the photo. There are golf clubs hanging on the rear and a sand bottle on the side. Parked in a lot with other obvious golf carts. "Recreational" doesn't mean ONLY used for golf.

Yeah, it's a golf cart.

Call it what you want. It's still a golf cart to most reasonable observers.

The way I read "Sporting and Recreational" is you can mount a gunrack and have 3 people drinking and be legal.
