Unless it's designed and manufactured for operation on a golf course, it's not compliant.

There is no "or" between the words "golf course" and "for sporting". The phrase ".... for sporting or recreational purposes ..." is a qualifying prepositional phrase.

“For” is the preposition; “sporting or recreational purposes” is its object and associated modifiers.

The relevant point is that “for sporting or recreational purposes” qualifies the golf-course operation requirement; it doesn't replace it. In other words, a motor vehicle designed and manufactured to maintain a golf course, would not qualify as a "golf cart" ... it has to be designed for sporting or recreational use on a golf course.
They have golf course approved tires and TV allows them access to golf courses.

Hence, they are "designed and manufactured for operation on a golf course'.

The fact that they can also carry 4 people for other uses is irrelevant.

My 2 person Yamaha is also used for "other purposes". Does that mean it's not a golf cart?

Regardless, It's not allowed. You cannot put 4 bags on a 4 seater cart.

Based on your comment and the fact that you're a new member of TOTV, I'll assume you're new to the TV world & golf in TV?

No one who plays 4-5 times a week on the Championship courses, needs to worry about Tee Times & Penalty Points. Non issue.

You assume incorrectly. If you want to be a jerk and bail on a reserved t-time (thus removing that time from someone else who wanted to play), sure, be a jerk.

I've played as a solo with many, many villagers (last minute decisions). I've never met one with whom I would not want to play with again.

Obviously, I've never played with you.

Agree. I have a 2016 Yamaha electric golf cart which has never been on a golf course. Neither have I.

Why would you refuse to play golf with someone because they drive a golf cart you don't approve of? Is that elitist or just inconsiderate?

Size isn’t the determining factor as to whether this long cart is, or is not a golf cart, speed is!

If it is capable of exceeding 20 mph, then it is NOT a golf cart, and it would likely be an unregistered motor vehicle, no different than a motocross motorcycle, ATV or quad driving around on the streets.

Florida statute demands that ALL 3 requirements below be satisfied for a motor vehicle to be granted exemptions from title and registration requirements that are afforded to golf carts.

1. Designed and manufactured for operation on a golf course.
2. Designed and manufactured for sporting or recreational purposes.
3. Incapable of exceeding 20 mph.

All 3 must be met, not one or two. That four forward cart presented by the OP appears to satisfy #1 and #2. But if it fails #3 then it is not a golf cart. It is just a liability.

Not to burst your bubble, but ALL golf carts are designed to exceed 20 mph.
The manufacturer’s would be seriously negligent if their machines were not designed & tested to easily exceed 20 mph.
Its just that when the carts are built, they are tuned to only go 20 mph or less.
Due to our esteemed government intervention, we are here to help, golf cart speed is regulated to below 20 mph.
Just as in all our cars, you foot is the speed limiting device.
Your car is easily capable of exceeding 100 mph. So why are we all not driving around at that speed?

A simple search on the major manufacturers’ websites proves you wrong. The manufacturers almost universally set the max speed at 19 mph. It is the dealer that adds the larger wheels, larger tires, tweaks the governor, controller or throttle mapping. This is a matter of fact, not opinion.

Some people come here every day to stir up conflict. I don't even know how they have time to play golf.

Yes, it is a matter of fact that the golf carts are CAPABLE of exceeding 20mph. As you said yourself - it's the manufacturer who sets the governor at 19. The cart is designed in a way that it is capable of being set to go faster than that.

At Lopez today by the putting green, there was a four person forward cart with a golf bag on the back. The tires on it appeared to be 4 wheelin' tractor tires. Do not know if it was allowed on the golf course.
