We belong to Costco's and go at least once a month. We did belong to BJs but dropped it.

I assume you mean the clubs in The Villages. I belong to a Euchre group. I join the artists work group when I can fit it in between people visting etc. I have just been invited to a bridge group and I belong to a mahjong luncheon group where I lunch but I don't mahjong.

I don't think Hawkwind meant those kind of clubs! I know I plan to join three or four clubs when we move to TV. Probably a euchre club with the hubby, the Michigan club, probably a crochet club and maybe scrapbooking.

I thought he meant TV country clubs, i.e. it was a golf question?

I am laughing because we all thought he meant different things. When he said "How active?" I ruled out Sams and Costco and the country clubs because everyone can go and eat and play golf at all of the country clubs, you don't have to belong to them, and the country clubs are NOT like the ones at home that have a social atmosphere to them where you belong to a clique.

Default Great post. Isn't it amazing how a simple statementor question

all heard or read by all can result in so many interpretations. Really not an interpretation process, but the end result.
Ambiguity, unintended....makes an interesting stew!

Default All three at one time

We used to belong to all three at once when we lived in Orlando.
Sam's Club was about 5 miles way up in Fern Park.

Costco was in Altamonte Springs.

BJs was down on the south side. We joined but only went there once or twice. Prices were to high and the travel distance from Oviedo to South Orlando was just to great.

Our best place was the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Grocery just a mile or so fro us. I don't believe they have any around here. Least ways we haven't seen any.

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

Be a gentleman, remove your hat/cap when entering a building and dining out!

I assumed TV clubs:
Sunset Pointe Social Club (my village)
Fenimore Friends (my cul-de-sac street)
Saint Louis Club (where I most recently lived)
Cape & Islands Club (where I grew up)
Mensa (because I like the people)
MOAA of Lake County (Military Officers)
TOTV luncheon goers !!!! (because...)
VHA (because...)

And, support groups:
AWAKE for folks with sleep anea
Airheads for folks with COPD and/or other breathing ailments

SWR

I think that's all. Fairly active in all, in the sense that I go to almost all functions! VP of Airheads.
