Before moving here to the Villages I worked at a power plant in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in NYC. The Navy yard was commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson in 1802. There was an original dry dock right outside the facility. It’s not dry anymore as water from the East River fills the slip. But, the water level hasn’t changed since 1802. So, I don’t think flooding will be here for quite a while.

Taxes, agree, Marion county
Developer, only what district 4 let’s them get away with.

Taxes a lot lower than most places.

I am amazed as to how much control the developer has over local politics.

'Compared to most places not at all crowded even during snowbird season.

We are very happy we moved here but cannot satisfy everyone
