Just Curious...HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY FOR YOUR AMENITY FEE THIS YEAR?

Ours was $145.00 until a couple of months ago and now it is $147.84

JBartle is correct. It is based on the date you purchased your home then after that it can't be raised more than 3%

147.00 and change this year in Sanibel. It depends on what the rate was set at when you bought your house and there is a percentage it can increase every year. There. May. Be a lid on it also, I don't remember.

I was way wrong on the amenity fees as I too thought everybody paid the same. I just thought what difference does it make when you purchased your house and how does that figure into it? Clear as mud.

It was explained to me that our amenity fee can change every year based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the date you put your deposit on your home. Ours did go up this year in August from $145 to $147.54 which was the time last year we had our design meeting. I questioned the fact that the information on how much it costs to live in TV still shows it as $145 and was told that $145 is still the price that folks start with. We're paying about $10 more than some of our neighbors that moved in just a few months before we did. That just doesn't seem fair to me.
