Default Slab leak

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of a slab leak in the bathroom? I had the wax ring replaced on the commode. Now I have a leak from bath tile at the carpet line about 6 feet away. Smells like sewer.

IMHO, (NOT a plumber), but I would look at the wax seal again. If you are doing this yourself, make sure you have the correct wax seal, as I recall you can get a standard depth, and an extra depth. Then look very carefully at the toilet to see if it has a crack and is leaking. Since the drain lines are sloped away from the house (gravity flow) I cannot see these leaking, unless you have a blockage.

If this work was done by a plumber, get another plumber, and have the line checked along with above.

In an extreme case that I had in a house, I once owned I had to stack two wax rings on top of one another. It worked.

If you decide you don't want to deal with it, I may want to buy your house.
