Default Music banned at swimming pools?

I enjoy the brass group practicing at the South Side Pool, but I see by a letter to the editor that a complaint caused all music to be banned at a different pool.

What about a small group of musicians practicing weekly at a pool, such as South Side? I think it adds to the atmosphere on that day of the week.

It seems that one size fits all is a problem. What works in the Historic District should not be banned because it's frowned on south of that border because the newbies want higher class stuff, in their opinion.

Applying the rule to a raucous group would be tough to live with it, I know. Anyone have an answer that would work for everyone?

Use ear phones to listen to your own music.
Pipe In WVLG.......don't like it, bring you own.

I don't believe one should be forced to listen to music someone else enjoys. What's atmosphere for one is loud noise to another. If someone wants to listen to music at the pool, use earphones. There are waterproof earphones and MP3 players available if you want music when in the pool

It is in the South End of The Historic District. I think it is on Webb Way. Very Friendly lively people and they have a Hot Tub. We don't use it but people love it to pieces. It's nice over here. People talk to one another it's great.

To each his own when it comes to music. I find many friendly people on the historical side. In general, The Villages is a very friendly community IMHO.

I enjoy our popl where WVLG is playing. After all, they play music of our generation! I think it adds to the ambiance. If someone does not like the music, they can go to one other NFPs (no fun pools)

Thumbs down Terrible

I think it is terrible for anyone to bring music to the pool! That is one heck of an invasion of a persons space!!! If you want to listen to music bring ear plugs and don't try to force your choice on others.

I don't want to listen to other people's music. Bring earbuds.
I doubt that a lot of people would want to listen to my music unless they really like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Journey, etc.
