My patio table is rusting on the edge under the glass top and can't remove the
glass. (Picture enclosed) Is there any way I can get under that edge with the glass in place and remove the rust? https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...1&d=1707942251 |

Didn't happen overnight. Try Naval Jelly it will remove rust and possibly get between glass and painted surface forming an oxide stopping rust

I have used AUTOMOTIVE rust removal products with great success. Eastwood makes some great products for removing and controlling rust. On the other hand I would very carefully look at the table, especially the underside as it would be unusual for the glass to be completely unremovable. I would be glad to discuss this further, send me a PM.

You’re fighting a loosing battle, outdoor furniture takes a serious beating in the Florida heat and humidity and rusts very quickly. We purchased reasonably good quality chairs for our pool/birdcage sitting area and they were trash after 5 years. We replaced them with chairs made out of plastic composite decking type material (poly wood) that is assembled with stainless steel hardware which should easily last our lifetime.
As Neil Young wrote in one of his songs, Rust Never Sleeps. |

use The WORKS toilet bowl cleaner.... no other brand will remove rust... I know it sounds like a joke, but I use it regularly to remove rust off old motorcycles.. Thank me later

Follow post 2 or 7. No need to reinvent the wheel with trying to remove the glass from metal ring. Good grief. Spray it with rust dissolver and move on.
