Default Fiber service in Richmond?

Is there fiber internet service in Richmond? I called Centric and Quantum and they don't serve that area.

I would think by now Richmond would have fiber optic internet service.

They would only have fiber optic service if fiber optics were installed with the initial infrastructure. If TV decided to not provide fiber optic cables, you are out of luck as it is much to expensive to install after the fact.

That area is serviced by Spectrum. I think it’s District 13. District 14 in Lake County has fiber.

Well that's unfortunate. I guess that's one detractor for living in that area. I called Centric and they said they are only installed in the newer southern areas. I guess they were able to get a contract with the developer when they started building after the Saw Grass area of the Villages. I'm surprised that Quantum didn't install when they were building Richmond and ther surrounding Villages. Fenney and Marsh Bend in the south have Quantum.

It's a shame because Centric is fantastic and not a rip off

Sorry, no Quantum service in Marsh Bend. Just checked. We are surrounded by Lowlands Executive Golf course
