Default I know it's a little early to plan for this

But I am looking to rent in the Villages next January, and February, (the housing market is just to crazy right now to purchase) besides the Villages Real Estate place, where else should I look for a rental?

Definitely NOT too early to plan for next year. Check with real estate companies in the area. Check sites like Zillow and others. Just Google " rentals in The Villages" and see what pops up. While there are a lot of rental properties in The Villages, many folks have their rental plans in place before they leave here to go home. Don't wait too long. Good luck and hope to see you here next year.

it's never too early to plan ahead. what's bad is obsessing over it. just start the process now.

Do not expect a bargain real estate is going up at an incredible rate. Cannot believe what a similar house to ours just went up on the market for.

If, truly from NY, Florida is growing in population and New York is shrinking. We too are ex-New Yorkers. We sold our home and abandoned a 6% state tax a 3% city tax and 10,000 real estate tax on a home smaller than what we now own.

Spent my first 42 years in NYC. Taxes in Florida much cheaper than NY.

Default Not too early

Our house is rented Jan through April next year. Get on it, and make calls if you have any questions, or want to negotiate or ask questions about availability

It’s not too early, it might even be a bit late. Rentals tend to be made available a year in advance. On our houses we ask this year’s renters if they’d like to return while they are here. If they say no we make the house available for next year immediately. Our houses are already booked for next Jan-March.

There are local agencies that rent out houses for the season, and many of those you can also find on VacationRentalByOwner.com. (Drop the lower case letters. I’m not sure why that particular website name is not allowed on this site.)
