I was standing in the street in front of my house, and my neighbor and I both realized at the same time that we heard water running. When we looked in the storm drain, there was a large volume of water running through it. I checked the immediate area, and seeing nothing obvious wrong, I called community watch. About 8 minutes later, they rang my doorbell and informed be that this is how they are able to move irrigation water around the villages at will. BRILLIANT!!!

I believe the network for moving irrigation water between retention ponds only exists south of 466. North of 466, the ponds are independent, or so I've been told.

On a related note: to move water from one pond to another would involve pumps I assume. Yet, the network of pipes is also said to be used by alligators to go from one pond to another (my neighbor actually saw a gator exit from such a pipe). So, the question I have is, how do the gators get past the pumps?

My guess would be that the ponds are connected via gravity fed pipes with control locks that can be opened to level off the ponds. Gators can use pipes as their own "subway". At least that's how they do it at other courses that have interconnected retention ponds. JMO

In 23 days I will make this my top priority to find the answer as we will finally be FROGS!
