Default Talking Trash

Had an interesting topic come up at our dinner group tonight. What happens to the non-recycle able trash. Does it go to a land fill, incinerator, etc? Anyone know the answer? Also where does it go?

Thanks for the replies!

A more interesting question IMO is what happens to the recyclable waste.

Incinerators create too much pollution so they use smoke belching garbage trucks to carrynit manynmiles away . The methane gas produced at a rate that most people don't worry about. Of course you have these huge eyesore mounds to deal with.

Well a first assessment is that the Florida and local people do not think much of recycle, so it seems. Look a the millions of white trash bags left to pick up.
And,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, take this. In Oregon, they have bins that are supplied by the pickup company and they take all glass, plastic etc and they really do recycle it.
It seems someone who knows a real agressive rep in the area could do something about this, it is a real wise concept to get started.

I think it would certainly add to the local ambiance to have trash barrels blowing down the street on the spring breezes.

Isn't there landfill west on 42? I know there one on baseline road between Ocala and bellview. You will see the Buzzards long before the landfill on the left going north. Probably the highest point in Florida?
