Personally, I chose MLS even though I worked both with a Villages agent and an outside agent. Two of my final four were Villages and two were MLS properties. All were pre-owned. I could negotiate price with the sellers on a pre-owned, no construction going on around me for a year, super upgrades already in place with no extra cost, almost no bond at all, and a golf course location with no balls coming into the yard.

Been here almost 2 years and loving it more every day.

Ya We did the same thing two years ago, great price, no bond, ten yr old hs close to everything.... SOLD it last month. WHY? Great neighbors but all plus 70 and all rightfully ensconsed in their 10yr groups/activities. So now we hv new plus 55 village w big bond a bunch of newcomers all starting out together AND we could not be happier. Good luck. See y in 2years

We bought a Courtyard Villa through MLS in 2007 for our dogs. In 2010 we sold our CVS through The Villages VLS because I think they have better visibility for their listings with open houses and their Sales Centre. We then purchased a resale home through VLS.

Both homes we've purchased we actually found on-line while living in Canada! Yay for the Internet, how did we ever live without it?

The dogs love the house. They quickly figured out the boundaries of the property, we have invisible fencing. They don't even need to wear their collars anymore. Of course we always supervise them when they're outside. Even when a duck walks up from the pond and taunts my 70 pound LolliPop, She won't be tempted.

Fireboy is also really happy with his over-sized garage. He found the garage in the Villa way too small. He loves garages??

The statistic is that the average TV couple move three times. I'm glad we're done with two of our moves.
