Default I want my money back.

It is now 2:46 and we are at the height of the eclipse which is 70% and it isn't even dark.

I blame the Morse family.

Guess you weren't in a place to take in the full show - providing the sky was sufficiently clear?

I am in Sandpoint, ID right now, not far from the full eclipse path. The sunlight level faded some, but not nearly as much as I expected. My brother was at some town in Oregon in the path, staying with friends. He said it was quite an experience!

Perhaps the Morses flew one or two of their jets up to one of their ranches in Montana or Wyoming to view it there. Are they in TV or away?

The only thing I noticed was that it got a little darker and my dog went into our bedroom. He must have thought it was an early nighttime.

I'm a little cloudy on this subject currently. As a Yankee in King Morse's Court, I predict as a TV lunatic that it shall soon pass, and become an enlighting experience again.

You might not see anything drastic. TV is at about 80% totality. Although the light does have a slightly different blueish tint to it.

LOLOL (also chuckled at Gracie's post). I didn't bother to get glasses but will say while it was "sunny" outside...it did get a bit dark inside the house (ie when it's dusk). This event wasn't worth the hype the media was giving it! Some folks drove hours north for 2 minutes--40 seconds and spent lots of $$$ of a astronomical event.

There are a couple of ladies at the pool that can cause their own solar eclipse when they stand up.

The effects of this event can only be compared to the damage we suffered during Hurricane Matthew. I provide the following documentation of that catastrophic event.
The Villages Florida

I was really expecting something like I experienced in Germany in 1999 when day turned to night, or at least something as monumental as when Geraldo Revera opened Al Capone's safe on live TV.

My neighbors were sitting out in front of there house so I drifted over with the dog around 2:35 until about 3P.

Lucky me they had one set of glasses. We passed around the glasses like we used to pass around something else in the 70s. Do not bogart the glasses!

All kidding aside, I am glad I got to see it. As others have said, I too expected it to get darker... I guess that is because I do not have much experience with solar eclipses
