Probably the people living in Dabney do not pay a yearly city tax to Wildwood.

Our friends living in St. Catherine paid a yearly tax to Wildwood.

Mine came from Russia, Latvia, and Germany. But that was before they had the immigration laws that they have now. If they had come now, with the "documentation" they had then, they would be considered "illegal aliens" by some. Heck, they didn't even speak English when they got here, except maybe my grandmother's parents, who were of a somewhat higher class than the usual Russian peasants, and were therefore educated.

Go ahead and deport me. I'm an anchor baby's anchor baby's anchor baby. Third generation American, born from illegal immigrants. If you want to deport me please send me to France. I think I could enjoy my life in France, but I can't afford to go on my own.

Will this impact housing prices?

And will employers be fined?

Legally!

I have my family tree traced back to the 1600's. I have a direct descendant that "sneaked "(migrated) into America from Canada in the 1870's. Technically I'm retroactively an illegal here. I guess I'll just wait until ICE shows up at my door.

We’ve go to get them all out fast so we can make room for white South African immigrants who will need jobs but will definitely not be filling the construction and landscaping jobs.

It shouldn’t

It shouldn’t affect prices. Are you suggesting The Villages is being built by the abuse of illegal immigrants? Immigrant labor is being taken advantage of for illegal profit taking?

A contractor using illegal labor has a cap of 10 before fines of 10,000 per worker come into play. A contractor would be liable UNLESS they REGULARLY work for another for more than 30 days. If they are subcontracted by a larger entity, that entity assumes associated fines etc. Actual prosecution would be determined by worker and their weekly hours. Does the worker work 40 or more hours per week? is healthcare provided for…yada, yada, yada

Immigrants themselves of course could face SB 1036, 1451 and 1589 just under Florida laws. The outcome for them seems more harsh than for the employers.

Any employer who doesn't withhold the payroll taxes for any employee is violating the IRS, Social Security, and Department of Labor laws. These are Federal laws that have nothing to do with the the state of Florida. There is no 10 employee cap for these Federal laws.

I just want the whole mess to go away. None of this should even be happening.

And who do you think will be able to afford these houses that Americans get paid 5 times the pay to build? Not to mention where are these Americans that will do this kind of work or better yet know how?

Tell the US Congress to get off their butts and fix the immigration system. It is broken, has been and is antiquated. Most Americans have no clue how the immigration system works in this country, how much it cost and how deficient it is to meet the needs of a country without enough workers.

If you were born in the USA or territories, this makes you a citizen. Even babies of the illegal construction workers who were born in the USA are citizens. The parents will be deported but not the children.

If "you" don't take the: Voluntary departure is an option for non-citizens facing deportation to leave the U.S. on their own terms, rather than being forcibly removed. It allows individuals to avoid a formal removal order and its associated consequences, like a ban on re-entry...................."you" are at risk.
