If you have had your 2nd vaccine shot did you get any documentation to prove to other interested parties that you have been fully vaccinated? In the future it appears that we may need such information for travel on airlines and travel to foreign destinations.

Just came back from getting my first shot in Lake County. They gave me a card with today's date and the type of vax I got. They will fill in the info for the second one when I go back in 3 weeks. The space for my name was left blank (for me to fill in) so it doesn't look like a document that would stand up in court or anything.

Don't think there have been hardly any 2nd shots yet as most "mass public" shots started late DEC early January. Mostly nursing homes and medical workers got them before that and don't think there are many nursing home people on TOTV. You'll probably start hearing in another week or so. IIRC first "mass public" shots here in Sumter were just a little over 2 weeks ago (not counting nursing homes) which was when we got ours through the Everbrite signup. I believe the first one was a couple days before that with the phone in fiasco.

Our vaccination card shows: Our name. Name of Vaccine. Batch number. Date of each vaccination. Funny thing is neither Pfizer or BioNtech is mentioned by name. |

Gee, no cute tag to attach to the collar? The puppy or kitty gets a vaccine tag?
Seriously, there should be some form of vaccine ID. |

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is when infection rates drop to acceptable levels. We'll need to maintain precautions until then.

Many people use an international vaccination record (yellow book) for international travel to remote locations. I wonder if they would take the time to add the Covid vaccine to it.

Do you already have an appointment for the 2nd shot? What date was your first shot and how did they notify you of 2nd shot?

Both first and second appointments were made at the same time. You can tell what kind of shot you’re getting by the length of time between shots— 21 days Pfizer, 28 days Moderna.

I was given a card with my name, the location of where the vaccination was given, the name of the vaccine (Moderna), the lot # of the vaccine, the date the 1st shot was administered and there is a place for the date of the 2nd shot. The card looks official enough for me. I carry it in my wallet and also took a photo of the card.

It seems the vaccine won't matter for international air travel beginning end of January. They will be requiring very recent testing in both directions whether one has been vaccinated or not. Requirement for Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test or Recovery from COVID-19 for All Air Passengers Arriving in the United States | CDC All air passengers traveling to the US, regardless of vaccination status, are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery.
