HUH???? Where did that comment come from??

From observing both New York and Connecticut drivers. Do you disagree?

I was following a golf cart today on the Buena Vista multi-modal trail with a Connecticut outdated license plate on it. He was zipping and zagging around all the cart on the trail - speeding like his tailpipe was on fire - and getting mighty close to causing several accidents.

Never seen that except in the former (or current New York) drivers.

Having read some of the responses to my "rant", I should add, "Yes", I did pull across the aisle and parked with no other issue. "No" those women did not work in the sales office, and were casually dressed in shorts and tee shirts emblazoned with who knew what. As I walked into the sales office, so did the 3 women, by this time, casting quick glances over their shoulders to see what I was doing. Don't know what their intent was, but they went in one door, straight through the lobby and out the door to the square.

One of the interesting things about the internet is the willingness of some to engage in verbal violence because the nature of the internet provides the illusion of anonymity (after 30 years in systems security....trust me...it's just an illusion).

It's also ironic that a post about rude behavior stimulates a score of rude responses.

Come on folks, lighten up...we live in Disney for adults. Like Disney, there is a artificial reality about this place...but, for many of us, we have worked and struggled long enough - paid our dues - and now it is time to enjoy a beautiful unreality where each day is a summer vacation.

Don't sweat the little slights -- it's gonna be another beautiful day in TV!

Could it be,that they were a little worried about your behavior. You know following them, them looking over their shoulders and all. Could it be they were concerned about their safety, and thats why they took off out the other doors. Just wondered.

The OP is a small woman with the friendliest and prettiest face you could imagine. PLUS she is British through and through, and that means she will be reserved, contained, polite, appropriate and correct in language and demeanor right up until she decks you. And believe me that would take a lot.

Thank you Graciegirl, I was beginning to feel as though I were at fault. "PaulandJean" It was coincidental that I followed the car's occupants, as my friends were waiting for me in the sales lobby. Now, my husband, on the other, a former police officer with ten years on the SWAT team, might (add MIGHT) have acted in a different manner from mine. OK FOLKS, JOKING, JOKING... It was a tempest in a teacup, and I am fully "over it"..... Peace...

Until yesterday. I know the following story is a storm in a teacup, but what a show of bad manners I was "treated" to. I had driven to Lake Sumter Sales Center to meet visiting friends and look at properties for sale with one of the agents. As I backed my golf cart into a parking space, in the ample and not full parking lot to the rear of the Center, a car, with three women in it came at a good speed toward me (as I was reversing into the slot), and drove around me and into the space I had already reversed 2/3 of the way into on the right.. I was so stunned, although jammed on my break, that I sat in the cart as the three women (ages approximately 60's, 40's and a thirty something, and remarkably similar in looks) brazenly stepped out of their car and tried not to make eye contact with me, still parked half in and half out of the space. When I asked "why did you pull into this space when I was already in it, especially as there open spaces all around us.?" The driver, looked very annoyed that I had spoken, and responded" well, I did not know WHAT you were doing"... Deciding I could not argue with ignorance, I let it go. My imagination went into overdrive of all I should have said, should have done, "woulda coulda shoulda".... AAARRRGGGG
that is really Sad. I hope with the population growing we don't lose the hometown friendliness we've always had. I remember when we first moved in we used to wave to each other in our golf carts.
