What kind of insurance? ex. Homeowners insurance not available through most all of the 'traditional' companies.

I would highly recommend Bonnie Colangelo at AAA insurance. We visited two other agencies first and when we met with Bonnie, it was clear she really knew what she was doing. If you bundle car and home with them you get a good discount as well. One of the reasons to go with AAA is they offer Catastrophic Ground Coverage for Sinkholes for about $100 or so. Most agencies either won't cover it or just offer Sinkhole Activity coverage. At any rate, talk to Bonnie and you will get good explanations on whatever your questions are.

Just one quick clarification from the Scott8147 post, having just gone through the process (we used The Villages Insurance, Karen Methvin in SS, after checking with 3 other companies). Catastrophic Ground Coverage is the coverage mandated by law for every homeowners policy. Other "Sinkhole" coverage is the extra coverage which you may or may not get depending on your location. You may also have to incur an inspection charge before being offered Sinkhole coverage. There are multiple other threads which you can find using the Search function on both insurance in general and Sinkhole coverage specifically. Hope this helps.

I think the inspection is not needed on new.
