Default Internet and cable connectivity??

Hi all,

Are they any "better" internet/cable TV providers in TV based on the area? For example, is Comcast/Xfinity/Spectrum better/more reliable/faster above 466? Between the sixes? Below 466A and above 44?

If fiber is available, how reliable is it? Up here in NYC, Verizon has FIOS service, but their equipment is sub-par and always has issues.

Or is it really a matter of pricing, packages and customer service?

Many thanks in advance!

In our area, just south of 466a (North of 44 and Brownwood), we can get both Spectrum and Comcast by cable, and we have fiber to the house, but not sure the current name of the company that uses the fiber.

We use CenturyLink for our internet connection. It's been reliable. As for TV, we cut the cord years ago and find that it improves lifestyle. Just our opinion.

I left Comcast a while ago and get my internet from Quantum Fiber. Very fast and reliable.

If you live South of 466A and have a home newer than Circa 2015 ish, your home probably has Quantum Fiber. If you live way down south in some of the new areas then Centric Fiber is available. If you have Fiber at your home I would get it because it will be the most reliable and the fastest internet speeds for the money. Cable is old fashioned and obsolute and you will be constantly fighting with them to lower your bill after the initial offer you get expires. If you want cheaper cell phone instead of the bundled cable offering get Consumer Cellular. They are roughly the same price and you get better service and you are not locked into a cable bundle.
