Somehow something about this does not seem right. Why would an insurance agent tell you to LIE about your golf cart on a rental agreement? I think a call to Allstate's head office would be in order for further clarification. I withdrew my golf cart from my rental as my agent (AAA in The Villages) told me rental property is NOT the same as my personal home. I can give permission for guests staying in my HOME to use my cart or car and I'm covered should an accident occur. When a contract, i.e. rental property, is involved and money is exchanged, its a different set of rules and my golf cart is NOT covered by insurance and I'm subject to a liability suit if anything should happen. Better to be safe than sorry.
