Question Interesting Village

Went to an open house last week in the Village of Bridgeport Laurel Valley and saw a beautiful house. It's the one on the left when you enter the neighborhood. It was beautifully furnished and was being sold as a model. It was a too rich for my budget but it was lovely.

What I found interesting is that there will be no neighborhood pool in the village, closest pool is the Laurel Manor sports pool. There also doesn't seem to be direct access into The Villages. In order to get into TV or go anywhere you have use Rte 466 and travel to either Morse or Buena Vista.

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems to be a very inconvenient location where you have a considerable drive, either in a car or cart, to wherever you want to go.

Those homes also have a bond of just under $50,000 on them. There are only going to be 53 homes in that section and all are premier.

Maybe it was built for those who wanted the anemities of TV, but wanted to be away from all the hustle and bustle? I noted that most premier homes already have pools, so may not be an issue for those that build there? Just a thought.

We also have been down there to see the open houses. Well kinda, we have been looking at houses that are open, with no furniture or floors . Some pretty spaces.

The ones furthest away from 466 have some amazing views. If you are out and about check out the house that looks out onto hole number 3 on Riley Grove to the left and Lake Sumter to the right. It is huge, I cannot imagine just Linda and living that home alone! No worry there, we could not afford the taxes.

As far as pools, it looks like many do not have pools as they back up to other homes, so I found it interesting there was no neighborhood pool, at least a place the help can cool off .

Default Not much need for pools

I think the vast majority of Premier home owners end up putting in their own pools in birdcages - would think that all of them have room for at least a small one.

I don't recall that Bridgeport at Lake Sumter has a neighborhood pool, unless I have missed it (I go to open houses and garage sales there occasionally). And the Bridgeport at Lake Miona just has a family pool nearby at Bridgeport Rec Center.

And let's think about it - if you can afford a Premier neighborhood, you also probably have a Priority golf membership and can use Country Club pools too.

To me, another example of good planning by the Developer.

Resident of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter. Sold a bill of goods when we bought the property and paid top dollar!!! Only game in town at that time. Even though we have our home pool, good neighbors etc. I would like a rec center and small pool to ourselves like the other premiers (along with mailboxes.) Nice place to post parties, games etc. Plus our gate is very unsafe. Many in here have sold for big losses to move to newer premiers.

Default not sure

...but I was told....you know the rumor mill at the pool while we were down there...... thatin the Premier Neighborhoods the neighbor hood pools often are not used .... it was assumed that this was due to everyone having their own pool.
