One of my friends is recuperating from surgery. She needs someone to come in cut her toenails etc. Who provides this service?

Only a podiatrist can cut toe nails. Check with one. Some go to nursing homes on a routine basis, maybe they make house calls.

i get my toenails trimmed every two weeks in a salon......and i don't think any salon i have ever been to has employed a podiatrist.

Did your friend go to a salon before her surgery? If she did you might check there to see if they would come to her home...for an extra charge of course.

Perhaps her family doctor could suggest someone. Another possibility is getting a suggestion through a home care agency.
