My husband mounted ours on lanai. I think you just make sure to hit a stud with your screws, same as in the house.

The vinyl siding has wood sheathing and wood 2X4's behind it. I just removed all the siding on my lanai when I changed out the sliders with French Doors. Easy to remove the siding. Start at the top. You would probably only have to remove a couple of pieces. I have the tool to start the removal but didn't need it.

Go for it! Good luck.

As a matter of fact you did my TV mount on vinyl siding with no problem and it's still hanging strong...thanks!!

All the advice about is great.

My tip is to use 3/8 x 3/8 tubing as a spacer between the siding and the bracket. When positioned correctly, this prevents "crushing" the siding when the bracket is secured. It takes a little work - cut the tubing to length and drill holes through opposite sides for the bolts.

Because of the wood sheeting behind the siding, I didn't attempt to hit wall studs. In fact, I avoided them. I used toggle bolts through the bracket, spacer and sheeting.

Hi, just a thought, it may be you could have metal studds on that wall. Also the vinyl of course has no strength.

A suggestion,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Look up Tim Cox as a handyman, he is good,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, very good.
