Thumbs up Best Places to Buy Things

Hi everyone,

Well guys after 5 years of renting in the Villages, our friends that we travel with have bought a beautiful 3 bedroom designer home. Included in the sale was all the furniture however they will be looking for nice picture frames, a few plants and general decorating stuff.

She is going down next month to tidy everything up and just see what is what and I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions as to where she could pick up some reasonable priced picture frames, matteress covers, artificial plants, general decorating items. They are going to rent it out but will eventually live there full time so they want it done nice. She will have a golf cart to get around but no car. Was thinking of Beals Outlet but I also know how good you guys are at giving suggestions so please feel free to suggest. You guys are always so good to help and I want to help her and make it easier for her.

Thanks so much for your help!
Sincerely,
Layaway Queen

you can also get to Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx by golf cart, and even Lowe's (over the golf-cart bridge). If she's fleet of foot, can park the cart near Pier 1 (there's a pet store on the end by Rolling Acres) and carefully cross Rolling Acres on foot to all the stores over there (Bed, Bath & Beyond, Tuesday Morning, Kirkland's, etc).

She should definitely check out the paper for estate and garage sales as well.

Tell her to use her car and check out all Beall's outlets and also go to Kirklands, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Kohls, Tuesday Morning, and Penney's in Ocala. Their stuff is worth the trip. Ocala also has Hobby Lobby and Steinmart. Don't forget Belks and definitely go to Bargains and Treasures near the intersection of 466 and 301.

Beautiful bargains everywhere 'round here just waiting to be discovered. Don't forget ebay too.

I buy my wall items at Picture This in Spanish Springs. I have bought several pictures and decorative items during their sales. Prices are very reasonable , and the selection of pictures all in one place is helpful. By the way, my taste run to Asian/ Oriental and I still found bargains!

If she likes to shop on line, she can put things in her (Amazon, Sears, Target...) basket and push send about two days before her arrival. It will be there when she arrives.

Some people need to feel, touch, and see, but others like the ease of doing things on line.

Try Bealls online and use their coupons. At their website click on Home Décor.
Also, see websites for Wayfair and Cymax and Overstock.

The Red Door in Wildwood has very attractive and unusual decor items. Take a look.

She can always rent a car for a day and be done in 24 hours....
