I have been away for a couple of weeks and got back yesterday. I decided to take my lovely English wife for a nice breakfast at the Windsor Rose Tearoom in Mt Dora this morning. Couldn't get within half a mile from downtown. They had 300 thousand visitors to the annual craft fair, an event about which I had no prior knowledge. By the time we gave up and headed home, it was lunch time, so we stopped at Outback. It took me two hours to get from my house to Outback for lunch. Next time I go to Outback, I am taking a different route.

We went to the craft fair in Mt Dora yesterday and it was only bearable because we arrived at 8:20am. We were able to find a parking place and many of the vendors were just finishing setting up. By the time we left at 11am, it was wall-to-wall people and there was no parking for miles! IMHO, I saw many crafts that were as nice or nicer than what they had in Mt Dora, at The Villages own craft fairs, held last weekend! Next year, I think I'll reserve my shopping to just The Villages. We have some crazy talented people here!
