Default It's all relative

We came down to TV for 4-5 days to get a few chores done but also planned to bask in the sun a bit. Well we were feeling pretty sorry for ourselves because it is cold meaning 55 or so. Ha! Where was my brain? Just talked to my neighbor and found out Sybericuse has had mega snow (like 4 feet!) Our front door is totally drifted over so we'll need to shovel our way in. Makes 55 feel like a sauna.

I'd say so!

We're wimps - we both dislike the cold and the snow. Can't seem to be able to spend enough time in TV!!

To be honest I'd like to not have to be tough for another week or so. But we'll be back in February for a couple of months. Until then ...

Go golfing tomorrow or ride your bikes -- you'll feel much better! As to Syberiacuse, ignore it for now, enjoy what warmth we have. At least it was relatively nice this afternoon. (But don't hurry home -- I'm still waiting for another bbq.)

I find myself complaining about our cold temperatures to friends in Canada. No sympathy there!..

Thumbs up Living the Good Life

We enclosed our lanai in glass last year and we are reaping the rewards during this cold snap. Since it faces east we get that tropical sun each morning and the lanai is warm and cozy. Duffy sits in my lap as I read the newspapers and work on getting my Vitimin D. Life is good in TV.

And, to think that ages ago I got excited when the snow began! Now I just quietly gloat about our low-30s temperatures and lack of snow!

Some of my old friends up north no longer think it funny when I send them news of beautiful sunshine (not telling them how cold we really feel!).

I can barely tolerate the winters in Chicago anymore; I don't know how the people in Syracuse-Buffalo do it. I spent the first 18 years of life in eastern Iowa, 1 miserable year in suburban Detroit that I try to forget and 31 years in the Chicago area, so I've seen 50 snowy winters. I enjoyed the snow when I was a child, but if I never saw another snowflake again, it would be OK by me.
