Default Internet providers

INTERNET PROVIDERS other than Centurylink and Comcast.
I use Centurylink ...phone and internet)and Directv.
I am getting rid of my land line so I lose my bundle price. I would like to have fast internet at a reasonable price.
Anyone have any ideas?
I like DirecTV and just need internet provider.
Thanks in advance

If you have Century Link and DirecTV you get a $10 a month break on DirecTV. I have DirecTV and Comcast and I was approached by a door to door guy from Century Link but I did not change.

The $10 a month discount from DirecTV is only for 1 year. They will bundle you with CenturyLink but you will get 2 bills. That $10 discount for 1 yr to to compensate for the inconvenience of maintaining 2 accounts.

Now, instead, if you go through CenturyLink for the same DirecTV bundle, you will get just one bill. They merge the accounts and it is $5 discount each month, not just 12 months.

Talk about comparing apples and oranges......

I just installed Brighthouse. The installer was prompt, on time within the window quoted and am getting over 30MB download speed and over 2MB upload. The first month is almost free and works well. Not a real fan of the TV - lot of "Brighthouse" commercial channels, but it all works great.
Our house in in Gilchrist, so, South of 466a

I have/had the same thing and I did change with the door-to-door guy. My direct TV and Comcast was $138/month for 5 Mbps max (party line) internet, one HD DVR (2 channel recording) and no premium channels. For $145 Century Link comes with 10 Mbps (dedicated line) internet, two HD DVRs (4 HD/8 SD channel recording) and all the premium channels (HBO, SHO, Cinemax etc.). Additionally the second HD DVR is wireless so you can move it from an extra bedroom or out to a lanai if you want to do that. Oh, and it came with a $100 prepaid visa card.

It was a no brainer.

Is it still true that you must be south of 466A to get Brighthouse?

I'll just add that recently the 4G tower "mifi" units work just fine and no cables needed in your home. You can even take the unit in your car for a hotspot. Buy one at Walmart from TruConnect, or lookup mail order vendors for other deals.

I found the best prices to be with MIFI/4G devices, but the speed is not and never can be as fast as a coax cable from Comcast (Brighthouse uses that same cable).

The "deals" from ALL the carriers will end the costs will be much higher (just sayin') so I switched to TruConnect and am content with the speed for Internet (I don't do online gaming or movie streaming), and I am SAVING A TON OF MONEY. And no contracts, so you can try it for a few months and decide later if you want to switch. NICE!

I live north in Marion county near Nancy Lopez.
I have a bundle ...Centurylink with DirecTV. Just trying to eliminate my landline, keep my DirecTv and find an internet provider that is fast and reasonable in price
So I guess Brighthouse is out of the question.
