Default John C. Parker Bridge

where is this bridge?

"The Sumter County Public Works Department will soon be performing some routine maintenance work on the John C. Parker Bridge as part of their road maintenance program. From approximately August 20th to September 1st the bridge will be narrowed to one lane in each direction overnight from 9pm to 4am so that the concrete joints can be cleaned and re-sealed."

That's the bridge over Lake Sumter on Morse Blvd (just north of the town square). There is a sign on the stonework at the end of the golf cart lane.

Is this the bridge that some folks say is narrow and kinda scary for golf cart traffic? If it is, do you think any chance that they may widen it?

that would be the bridge, gerryann - but i would never hazard a guess as to what the developer might ever do or when. the bridge itself if not narrow - just the golf cart lane section of the bridge is. with this project it doesn't sound like there will be any impact on the golf cart lanes - but i wouldn't bet on that either! what do i know!?!
