Default Cheap gas in TV

Our gas is 3.57 a gallon in NY. After all, we are the tax state. I'll be glad when I don't have to pay these prices any more or pay the taxes. Most of our additional cost of gas is taxes.

...I get that there would be a 4 cent Increase for E-10 (10% Ethanol) on New Years Day, due to the ending of the subsidy given ethanol producers. (and 40 cent increase for E-85).........BUT.... after recently spending 3 weeks in Alabama...Mississippi and Texas and NEVER spending more than 2.99/gal... it was a shock to see the Florida prices were still high.

Went from 3.18 to 3.51 in about a week at Circle K Shell on Hwy 27/441. So what's the reason this time? Iran? Shifting to winter blend? No energy policy? George W. Bush? No drilling? Oil Companies decided it was time to go for more record profits? Too much dependence on foreign oil? Global warming? Our addiction to oil? All of the above?

Guess that's one of the perks of living in the boonies.

Use to live in The Keys every time a tanker crossed a bridge (42 of them) gas went up a nickle. 10 Years ago in England I know gas was ten dollars for imperial gal. Hate to say it and there is no excuse but we are still doing OK. Another post for 4.25 a gal. by summer, wait thats not the only thing that is going up. The old saying of the 60's (out of site)

That's about the price in the NYC suburbs.

Where is it where someone is paying $6.25 ?

Default Colony Shell Station!

Buyers beware!!!! He has a sign that reads 354.9 for regular per gallon, however, this is a ploy by this station that is for cash only purchase! Which there is no sign stating that!! If you use credit card, even a Shell Credit card, the price is 379.9 per gallon!!! This owner continues at attempting to rip off consumers because he is the only station in that area. And of course, there are folks that continue to buy from them...!!!

WOW - That one heck of a surcharge, (25 cents per gallon), for using one's credit card. I pay 3.55 per gallon with a 10 cent surcharge for use of credit card in CT. I believe that should be the standard charge for CC use.

I guess more of a reason to tool around TV in an electric cart.

Thanks for posting this info.
